Alongside the What I’ve Watched series, I’ve decided to begin the Blu-Ray/DVD Update series, in which I will chronicle the films and TV shows that I have bought throughout a month, and if I have watched them, what I thought of them. As always, any feedback is greatly appreciated, and I really hope you enjoy this series of articles.
Well, here it is, the first in (hopefully) many Blu-Ray/DVD Update articles. Please not that as of present, due to technical difficulties I am unable to upload images onto this article, but hopefully this will be resolved soon. Without any further ado:
Blu-Rays
Game of Thrones: The Complete First, Second and Third Season Alien Anthology
Blu-Ray pick of the month: there’s not a lot to choose from this time around, but I haven’t watched any Game of Thrones, so my only choice is the Alien Anthology. Although I have yet to watch this set, I have seen all four Alien films, and love the first two, the others not so much, and the set is full of special features and behind the scenes looks into the creation of some of modern cinema’s most iconic scenes, so I am very much looking forward to getting deep into this set.
DVDs
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut Watchmen Alien vs. Predator Aliens vs. Predator 2: Requiem The Chronicles of Riddick: Pitch Black The Chronicles of Riddick X-Men 1.5
DVD pick of the month: as you can see from yesterday’s What I’ve Watched article, I haven’t spent much quality time with my TV lately, so I have only seen a few of these. I chose Watchmen as my pick of the week in What I’ve Watched 3, so to avoid being stale, I’m going to choose South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. Although I’m not crazy about the show, I thought this film was absolutely hilarious. Nobody is safe in this film, and the humour is so edgy, which adds to the entertainment value of this film. It’s quite short, and pretty thin on story, but if you like to laugh, South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut is an excellent starting point.
