With the latest Avengers movie on the close horizon, it seems likely every major MCU character is slated to return. From mainstay Avengers like Thor to the X-Men roster from the early 2000s, almost everyone who’s played a role in the franchise’s success is back – but what about Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight. In this article, we’ll ask the key question: is Moon Knight in Avengers: Doomsday?
Will Moon Knight Appear in Avengers: Doomsday?
At the time of writing, Moon Knight has not been confirmed to appear in Avengers: Doomsday. That’s not to say that Marc Spector won’t appear – or one of the other mystical beings we first saw in the 2022 Disney+ series.
After all, it seems like a lot of Doomsday‘s eventual roster still hasn’t been confirmed by Marvel Studios. For instance, rumours are abound that both Deadpool and Wolverine will appear after their billion-dollar smash hit in 2024 – but there’s been no official confirmation either. However, both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman appeared at San Diego Comic-Con to promote Doomsday, so their appearance is all but inevitable.
With Moon Knight – or at least Oscar Isaac’s portrayal of Marc Spector – it’s a bit more complicated. The series didn’t exactly set the audience alight when it released four years ago, and the character has been all but abandoned by the MCU in the years since. Aside from some fun cameos in the What If? animated series, there’s been no sight of Moon Knight, let alone a mention of him.
All hope isn’t lost, though. Some footage reportedly from Avengers: Doomsday leaked earlier in October 2026, appearing to show Moon Knight standing next to Thor in a battle scene. We won’t link to it here, but the clip is out there if you’re curious. However, there’s just a good a chance that it’s a well-made AI spoof, so don’t take it as confirmation just yet.
What is a bit more concrete is a scoop from Blue Minutes, reporting that Moon Knight will return – but in Avengers: Secret Wars instead of Doomsday. It makes sense, given Moon Knight currently has no rapport with the Avengers, but could easily slot into a Battleworld where all of our heroes have lost their memory. It remains to be seen whether that’ll happen, but it seems more likely than him showing up for the big battle against Doctor Doom.
That’s everything we know so far about whether Moon Knight will appear in Avengers: Doomsday. We’ll be sure to update this article once new information arrives. Until then, feel free to check out the Landman season 3 release date, High Potential season 3 release date, and the Twilight Saga 6 release date.
