Yesterday (3rd March), we announced that we would be reviewing David Fincher’s thriller Gone Girl. In preparation, I watched the film tonight (4th March), and I’ve got some notes, so I was thinking of trying to get a review up tonight. However, after considering the depth of this film, I’ve decided that a review will most likely be published on Saturday 7th March. I shall be watching the film again to pick up on the more subtle nuances which Fincher incorporates, and hopefully the review will be in-depth and satisfying. Suffice it to say, I really enjoyed the film, but I’m not going to go into any more detail regarding my opinion other than that.

So, expect a review of Gone Girl up on Saturday, and don’t forget that a Nightcrawler review is on the way too; probably up on either Saturday night or Sunday at some point.

If you’ve seen Gone Girl, I’d love to hear your opinion on what is one of the most divisive films of 2014. Be sure to send us an email with your thoughts to thefilmbloguk@gmail.com, and the chances are you will be featured in the article. As always, thanks for reading, and I hope you come back for the review of Gone Girl on Saturday, and as a long-time reader forever more!
