BREAKING NEWS: Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy has passed away at the age of 83. Nimoy’s wife confirmed to the New York Times that he died from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, following reports of poor health earlier this week.

Nimoy rose to fame due to his role as Spock in the original Star Trek series, and more recently featured in JJ Abrams’ 2009 reboot, and also made a small appearance in its sequel, Star Trek: Into Darkness, and was rumoured to feature in the third instalment in the remade franchise.

Of course, we give our deep condolences to the family of Nimoy, and we wish Leonard Nimoy to rest in peace.
