When Frozen was set upon the public in 2013, nobody could anticipate its success. It has made over $1.2 billion worldwide, so it’s no surprise that a sequel has been announced. However, the follow-up to the most successful animated film of all-time is not feature-length, but instead a short film due to be played before the upcoming Cinderella reboot. The trailer for Frozen Fever was released on 25th February, and in just a day has garnered over 2 million views. However, since it’s not a full length film, the trailer is not full length either, clocking in at just 40 seconds. If you haven’t seen it, here it is:
Unfortunately, we can’t really take a lot from this trailer due to its length, but what we do know is that the short film will tell the story of Ana’s birthday celebration. I’ll go into more detail in an inevitable review, but what made Frozen so brilliant was its story, and by the looks of things, the plot of Frozen Fever is practically nonexistent. All the greats from the original are back and I’m looking forward to seeing how the relationship between the characters has changed since the end of Frozen, but I won’t be rushing out to watch Frozen Fever on March 13th when it is played before Cinderella; I’m sure it will get a DVD release, which is where I’ll watch and possibly review it.
What did you think of the trailer for Frozen Fever? Will you be rushing out to cinemas to see it when it plays before Cinderella on 13th March. As always, be sure to leave a comment and find us on these sites:
