Film pick: There’s an awful lot to choose from, and if I were to choose my pick from the films above, it would go hands-down to Guardians of the Galaxy. However, I don’t want to repeat myself, and it was my pick in What I’ve Watched 2, so this time around, my film pick is Watchmen. I have a more in-depth review that I will leave here, but to cut a long story short, this film is nowhere near perfect. It cuts out key parts of the graphic novel, favours style over substance, and is definitely not meant for your average cinema-goer, but if you’re a fan of deep, dark stories, stunning performances and comics at all, I recommend this one.
TV pick: This time, my only logical choice for my pick is Breaking Bad. I have already written an article on my first impressions of the series, but it is safe to say that so far I am adoring it. It has a deep, interesting story that hooks in the viewer from the first scene, and doesn’t let go until each episode’s thrilling conclusion. I love Bryan Cranston as Walter White, and even though I am not even 10% through the show, I’m in love with every second. A must-see show.
