As I mentioned before, this weekend I finally subscribed to Netflix. Considering this, here are the films and TV shows I have watched recently:

Film highlight: we’ve not got much here this time, but out of all the films I’ve watched recently, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has got to be the best. With a deep, intertwining story and some of the most convincing performances in young adult film history, this is not one to miss. I wasn’t a huge fan of the first Hunger Games film – there was way too much shaky-cam – but this was a marked improvement, and Jennifer Lawrence now owns the role of Katniss.
TV highlight: Netflix has a far superior TV catalogue compared to its film pickings, but its original programs have the ability to suprise. BoJack Horseman starts off slowly and admittedly, mediocrely, but as it progressed relationships were formed, characters changed, and it certainly took a much darker turn than I expected from what I thought was just another animated comedy, but luckily, I was so wrong. BoJack Horseman is a terrific show, with so much room to grow in its recently-announced second season. I can’t wait.
