The latest film in the ongoing Marvel Cinematic Universe is almost upon us, with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness arriving this week. Directed by former Spider-Man filmmaker Sam Raimi, it’s set to be a cameo-filled romp into various facets of the Marvel world. There’s one question on fans’ minds, however: is it any good? Well, the review embargo is up now, so we can see how Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has performed on Rotten Tomatoes.

What Is The Doctor Strange 2 Rotten Tomatoes Score?

At the time of writing, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is sitting at 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. That means the vast majority of critics had something positive to say about the film.

Of course, that isn’t an indication that the film is, on average, an 8 out of 10 in terms of score. Rotten Tomatoes instead functions as a reviews aggregator, compiling the proportion of critics who felt positively towards a film rather than collating an average score. Nonetheless, the forecast is looking bright for Benedict Cumberbatch’s latest adventure as Doctor Strange.

The film takes place several months after the cataclysmic events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Doctor Strange ripped open the multiverse to help Peter Parker. In this instalment, he teams up with the superpowered teen America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) as they journey across the multiverse to sew up the dimensional rift, with plenty of Marvel cameos along the way.

With only a few short days to go until release, it’s looking good for Doctor Strange 2. This cosmic subset of MCU films has never been quite as popular as other characters like Iron Man or Spider-Man, but the familiar face of Sam Raimi, alongside some big-name cameos, could change that entirely.
