That time of the month has rolled around again, as Netflix have tweeted out the new films and TV shows we can expect to be released on Netflix UK in September. It started a few days ago (August 18th), when they tweeted this:
A good start for sure – there’s some brilliant stuff here, not least of all the upcoming Netflix Original The Devil All The Time, a star-studded thriller featuring, among others, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson and Bill Skarsgård, which is sure to get pulses racing and prove incredibly popular. There’s also the Millie Bobby-Brown-starring Enola Holmes, based on the Nancy Springer novels which follow Sherlock’s younger sister as she takes on her own detective cases – with this film starring The Witcher’s Henry Cavill as Sherlock. Also arriving is a sequel to 2017’s original comedy-horror The Babysitter, titled Killer Queen.
Other exciting non-originals include the subversive and charming superhero comedy Kick-Ass, which elevated Aaron Taylor-Johnson to international fame, and another violent but gritter comic-book adaption, Zack Snyder’s divisive Watchmen. For families, out comes Early Man, one of Aardman’s latest offerings, and the entire Johnny English trilogy.
But there’s more – here is all the TV we can expect soon.
Perhaps the most exciting new arrival is Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous, the first official TV show set in the Jurassic Park franchise, which is more family-oriented than other entries – but Steven Spielberg is still on as executive producer, so you can be sure it’ll stay loyal to the franchise’s roots. Other exciting arrivals include the entirety of Channel 4’s Misfits, which has catapulted in popularity since The Umbrella Academy made a star of Robert Sheehan, and for those looking for more casual viewing, you’ll find Gogglebox and Keeping Up with the Kardashians might just hit the spot.
