Wonder Woman‘s Gal Gadot is quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s most in-demand stars. Originating from humble Israeli roots, she has lent her talents to massive franchises such as the Fast and Furious series, and notably the DC Cinematic Universe. Today, we’ll be looking at the ten Gal Gadot movies that made the most at the box office. Note that these figures were accurate at the time of writing and are liable to change, and that all figures are domestic box office grosses.
#10 – Triple 9 (2016)
First up is the John Hillcoat-directed crime thriller compiling the talents of Casey Affleck, Chiwetel Ejiofor and, of course, Gal Gadot. Here, she plays Elena Vlaslov, the sister of Kate Winslet’s mobster Irina Vlaslov. Despite a star-studded cast, Triple 9 was something of a box-office flop, grossing around $12 million against its $20 million budget, not making the dent it could’ve.

#9 – Criminal (2016)
Next is the sci-fi thriller Criminal, in which Gadot plays Jillian, the wife of Ryan Reynolds’ secret agent Bill Pope, who becomes embroiled in a kidnapping and ultimately has to help Kevin Costners’ Jerico defeat the film’s antagonist, Heimdahl. Yet again, Criminal underperformed at the box office, grossing just $15 million, simultaneously suffering a disastrous $6 million opening weekend.
#8 – Keeping Up With the Joneses (2016)
Gadot’s second post-BvS role, in Keeping Up With the Joneses she starred alongside Zach Galifianakis, Isla Fisher and Jon Hamm as Natalie Jones, a strange-seeming neighbour who turns out to be a secret agent. Another flop, Joneses was torn apart by critics and grossed just $15 million domestically – and even adding on its $15 million international gross, didn’t even come close to breaking even.

#7 – Knight and Day (2010)
One of Gadot’s first big-screen roles, here she played the small role of Naomi, the henchman of the film’s antagonist, Quintana. Also starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, Knight and Day fared better than Gadot’s previous films, grossing $76 million domestically, but was still widely-regarded as a disappointment considering the high profiles of Cruise and Diaz.
#6 – Date Night (2010)
Gadot’s second even big-screen performance, this comedy starred Steve Carell and Tina Fey as a couple that get mistaken for mob associates. Gadot played Natanya, the wife of Mark Ruffalo’s Brad, who tries to seduce Carell and Fey into racy activities. Thanks to a star-studded cast and decent reviews, Date Night brought in just under $100 million worldwide, doubling its $55 million budget.

#5 – Fast and Furious (2009)
Fast and Furious, the fourth in the series, was Gadot’s big-screen debut, in which she plays pseudo-ally Gisele, an assistant to John Ortiz’s drug lord Braga, who sets the task which the crew led by Vin Diesel and Paul Walker need to complete to save the day. Coming just before Fast Five, which notably reinvigorated the franchise, this entry made $155 million domestically, and subsequently thrust Gal Gadot into the spotlight.
#4 – Fast Five (2011)
In the follow-up to Fast and Furious, Gadot reprised her role of Gisele, who this time teams up with Vin Diesel’s Dom to perform a large-scale robbery against the film’s antagonist, Reyes – to the anger of The Rock’s newcomer, Hobbs. Fast Five marked a continuation of the franchise’s upward spiral, grossing $210 million – a massive improvement on the last one. And with an increased role, it proved Gadot was a Hollywood star that was going nowhere.

#3 – Fast and Furious 6 (2013)
Gadot’s final appearance in a Fast and Furius film (so far), she reprises her role of Gisele, who is now firmly on the side of The Rock’s Hobbs. Also in a relationship with Sung Kang’s Han, Gisele spoiler alert – suffers a tragic death to help the team defeat Jason Statham’s Deckard. By 2013, the Fast and Furious franchise had certainly found its feet, grossing a cool $238 million, firmly securing Gadot as a massive name – and considering the timing of its release, could’ve helped set her up for even bigger roles…
#2 – Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
The role that blew Gadot to worldwide fame, here she plays Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, who helps Batman and Superman fight against the deadly Doomsday in the film’s climax. Despite being ravaged critically, many were quick to praise the casting and performance of Gadot as Wonder Woman, helping the film gross $330 million domestically.

#1 – Wonder Woman (2017)
Nobody was expecting Wonder Woman to become the smash-hit that it was, ending up as one of the year’s highest-grossing movies so far. Gadot reprised her role of Diana Prince as she helped fight in the First World War alongside Chris Pine’s Steve, while also tackling her nemesis, Ares. Wonder Woman has so far grossed just under $400 million and is still going, becoming the second highest-grossing superhero origin movie of all time – proving Gadot is a bigger star than ever.
