This years Warner Bros. conference at San Diego Comic Con proved to be one of the biggest in the company’s history. After short conferences from upcoming Guy Ritchie film The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Hugh Jackman’s Pan, Hall H attendees were treated to the DC Comics conference.

To begin with, a title was given to the upcoming Green Lantern film, due for release in 2019. Although details are thin on the ground, it has been confirmed that it will be called Green Lantern Corps.

More excitingly, the cast of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad – minus Jared Leto – were then brought up to the stage, and although didn’t answer any questions, were welcomed warmly. After showing off some footage involving Harley Quinn, Deathstroke, and of course, the Clown Prince of Crime, attendees were left with concept art – and more importantly, with a much-needed assurance that Ayer will pull the film off.

The main event was – of course – the Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice section. The main players, such as Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor) were brought onto the stage, along with director Zack Snyder – who arrived at Comic Con in the Batmobile. Next, a brand-new trailer was shown, including clips of Bruce Wayne amidst the destruction of Metropolis during Man of Steel‘s climactic fight, extended shots of Gadot’s Wonder Woman, and of course, Batman and Superman knocking ten bells out of each other. Following was a short question and answer session, which included Affleck revealing previous Batman Christian Bale’s words of advice, and Gal Gadot bigging up the importance of her character’s cinematic debut.

The conference ended with the trailer – which fans demanded was shown again – being uploaded to YouTube, and after only an hour online, has racked up thousands of views: and sent fans into a frenzy, with reception being mostly very positive. You can check the trailer out here:
