At the time of writing, there isn’t a Twilight Saga 6 release date because a new entry in the franchise has not been announced.

Yes, it’s bound to come as bad news to those desperate to catch up with Edward, Bella, and Jacob again, but there’s nothing to suggest that a new Twilight movie is coming any time soon. While other fantasy franchises like Harry Potter and Percy Jackson have got the reboot treatment in recent years, that doesn’t seem to be the case for Twilight.

It makes sense, though, because the duology of Breaking Dawn films really wrapped up the saga’s main narrative. In fact, Stephenie Meyer’s don’t cover any ground beyond them, either, so there’s no source material left to work with. That is, aside from the 2020 novel Midnight Sun, which retold the original Twilight book from Edward’s perspective. However, getting Robert Pattinson to reprise that role might be a big ask.

Therefore, Twilight fans shouldn’t hold their breath for a sixth movie happening in the near future. There have been reports of new entries into the franchise in the years since Breaking Dawn Part 2, but nothing has ever emerged. Most recently, in 2023 Lionsgate announced a Twilight TV show, but it’s unconfirmed whether that’ll be a straight-laced reboot or a continuation. We’ve heard nothing about it in two years, either, so it seems to be in development hell.

Either way, it’s very unlikely that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will reunite on-screen for any kind of Twilight follow-up. Their own complicated personal histories aside, both have gone on to become acclaimed actors in their own right and likely don’t want to return to the teen romance series that made them stars.
