Apocalypse Z Part 2 Release Date Countdown
At the time of writing, Apocalypse Z Part 2 does not have a release date because the movie has not been announced or greenlit.
Right now, it’s still too close to the first film’s release to know much about any follow-up. The first Apocalypse Z released on October 31, 2024 on Prime Video, so the producers are mostly focused on promoting it right now. Of course, if the streaming numbers are impressive and there’s enough fan outcry for a sequel, it’s bound to be a case of if, not when.
Fortunately, the movie leaves plenty of room for a sequel to continue the narrative quite organically. We won’t go into too many spoilers here, but the closing scene of Carles Torrens’ movie makes it clear that the zombie outbreak has spread far beyond anything Manel, the main character, couldn’t have expected. This easily sets up a sequel that explores the infestation even further, especially as the main group of survivors all survived, escaping on a helicopter to avoid the infected Canaries.
Therefore, the only thing that may prevent a sequel to Apocalypse Z is low viewership numbers. Streamers like Prime Video rarely declare their viewing figures publicly, but the movie has garnered a wide social media following and is being pushed heavily on the Prime Video homepage. There’s clearly a good amount of faith in Apocalypse Z as a fledgling franchise, so all signs point towards an appetite for more.
That said, we won’t know for sure until either Prime Video or the movie’s producers announce Apocalypse Z Part 2. Of course, we’ll be sure to update this article as soon as we know more, meaning you’ll never be left out!
