Wind Breaker Season 3 Release Date Countdown

At the time of writing, there is not a Wind Breaker season 3 release date. However, given the show’s success and the wider future of the franchise, we’ll likely see the Wind Breaker season 3 release date in mid 2026.

It’s bound to be sad news for fans of the anime who already want more, but Wind Breaker season 3 has not been announced yet. Instead, when the second season wrapped up on June 20, 2025, the creators announced a live-action movie adaption. The movie has already been filmed and is set to release in December 2025, which should tide fans by until a third season is ready.

Fortunately, there’s plenty of source material left for Wind Breaker season 3 to adapt. The season 2 finale, titled “Strength For Another,” adapts volume 12 of the manga, which is currently up to volume 22. Therefore, there’s still an awful lot of Haruka Sakura’s story to tell. Given the show’s popularity, the announcement of Wind Breaker season 3 is all but confirmed, so look out for it soon.

However, it’s certainly strange that we haven’t heard anything already. After all, season 2 of Wind Breaker was announced just after the first season aired, no doubt capitalising upon its gained audience. As proof of this, the Blu-ray/DVD release of the first season sold just under 4,000 copies in its first week, outpacing Tokyo Revengers during that time frame. It’s more popular than ever, and social media is alight with praise for the show so the time is right to announce something.
