Terrifier 3, the horror breakout of 2024, is slashing its way back into UK cinemas this holiday season. As announced by distributor Signature Entertainment, Art the Clown’s festive rampage will land in cinemas once more across the UK and Ireland on December 12, 2024.
It’s the perfect chance for those who missed the film during its original theatrical run to catch up on Art the Clown’s latest murder spree. Taking place around the festive season, the movie even gives us a version of the now-iconic killer donning a Father Christmas outfit. But of course, he’s still up to no good, with plenty of the series’ traditional grizzly murder scenes on full display.

Coming two years after Terrifier 2 reinvented the franchise by adding plenty of extra lore and character development, Terrifier 3 was one of 2024’s biggest box office surprises. In the UK alone it grossed £3.5 million, with an additional $54 million in the US for a worldwide total of over $88 million. Considering it was made on a meagre $2 million budget, it’s easily one of the year’s most profitable films.
The good news on top of this is that the re-release of Terrifier 3 isn’t the last time we will see Art the Clown on the big screen. Series creator and director Damien Leone has already confirmed that a fourth instalment is development, so it’s likely only a few more years before this franchise returns. Given that Terrifier 3 ends on a fairly significant cliffhanger with huge ramifications for the broader lore, it’ll be incredibly exciting to see where the series goes from here.
Now that the film will return in UK cinemas on December 12, 2024 it’s the perfect chance for newcomers to the franchise shocked by its viral success to catch up on what they’ve missed so far—or an opportunity for a rewatch prior to the festive season. Whichever bracket you fall into, there’s no missing out on Art the Clown’s latest and grizzliest killing spree. Merry Christmas!
