Looking for information on the Twisters post credits scene? This long-awaited sequel to the 1996 disaster movie is nearly here, and is enjoying very positive pre-release reviews. If you’re planning on seeing it upon release but don’t know whether there’s an extra scene after the credits, we’ve got the answer.
Twisters Post Credits Scene Explained
As it stands, it is very unlikely that Twisters will have a post credits scene.
The first Twister film, released in 1996, didn’t have any tease after the credits finished rolling. This isn’t a surprise, of course – if there had been, there’s no way it would’ve taken nearly 30 years for a sequel to finally release. If we’re going off that logic, then there’s no reason to expect Twisters will have anything after the credits.
Equally, director Lee Isaac Chung—previously of Minari fame—doesn’t have a filmmaking precedent for post credits scenes. The films he makes are more arthouse than blockbuster, with Twisters marking quite a distinct shift in his filmography. That said, he has worked within the Lucasfilm system, directing episode 19 of The Mandalorian and an undisclosed episode of the upcoming Star Wars show, Skeleton Crew.

As such, it’s quite safe to assume that you can leave your seat as soon as the credits roll without missing out on one last teaser. Twisters isn’t the sort of film that would really suit a post credits sting, as there’s isn’t exactly a big bad to tease or a sequel to hype up. Of course, if this information changes and it does contain something at the very end, we’ll update this guide and let you know.
