Wondering whether or not there’s a Despicable Me 4 post credits scene? The latest Minions-starring movie is nearly here, and fans of Gru’s wacky adventures want to know whether or not they should remain in their seats once the credits roll. In this guide, we’ll provide you with the answer!
Despicable Me 4 Post Credits Scene Explained
At the time of writing, we don’t know whether Despicable Me 4 has a post credits scene or not. Based on other films in the franchise, though, it probably will.
Let’s use the most recent movie in the series, 2022’s Minions: The Rise of Gru, as an example. In that film, once the main credits stopped rolling there was a short scene showing Gru recruiting Dr. Nefario, his scientist sidekick who appears in all the mainline Despicable Me movies.

Therefore, it’s highly likely that Despicable Me 4 will contain a post credits scene – though, don’t expect it to be overly plot driven. We’d wager that a sting at the end of the movie will instead have one last sight gag or callback to a character or plot point earlier in the film. For example, in Despicable Me 3 the post credits scene was a montage of Gru (Steve Carrell) stopping his evil brother Dru from committing heists.
Of course, we’ve yet to officially confirm this because Despicable Me 4 hasn’t released. As soon as it does, we’ll double-check our information and update this guide. Until then, though, we’d recommend hanging around for the duration of the credits, as it seems very probable that there will be one last laugh in store for you.
