Want to know more about the Madame Web post credits scene? The latest movie in Sony’s own Spider-Man universe is finally here, with plenty of excitement behind it. In a year where we’re only getting one MCU film in Deadpool & Wolverine, Madame Web is here to pick up the slack and kickstart 2024’s superhero roster – but is there a scene worth staying for after the credits?

Madame Web does not have a post credits scene. As such, you can safely leave the theater as soon as the film initially ends.

Madame Web is out now, and it’s been confirmed that the film eschews superhero tradition and does away with post credits scenes. The scoop first came from renowned movie insider DanielRPK, reposted by a very popular Spider-Man news account on X:

One thing to be aware of is the lack of sourcing in the initial tweet, as seen above. Tracing it back to DanielRPK has proven fruitless, so there’s every chance he deleted the initial scoop – or that it’s fabricated entirely.

Fortunately, the uncertainty is out the window. In the days leading up to Madame Web’s release, director SJ Clarkson confirmed there was no post credits scene, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Considering there really isn’t a post credits scene in Madame Web, it’s certainly a bit of a surprise. All of the previous Sony Spider-Man spin-off movies – both Venom films and Morbius – had post credits stings. Since all the other films in this off-shoot Marvel continuity teased future instalments right at the end, it’s strange that Madame Web doesn’t do the same.

That said, Madame Web is confirmed to take place in 2003, decades before the rest of the Sony Marvel movies. As such, it’s unclear what a post credits scene could even tease, given how long before the other films this instalment takes place.
