With the closing chapter of the DC Extended Universe out now, there’s one question on the minds of comic fans: how long is the new Aquaman movie? Subtitled The Lost Kingdom, Arthur Curry’s latest adventure has a lot to live up to, considering it closes the door on the past decade of DC films. Let’s look at how long you’ll spend watching it.
How Long is the New Aquaman Movie?

The new Aquaman movie is 124 minutes long, clocking in at just over two hours in length.
Notably, this is much shorter than your average DC film. For reference, the previous Aquaman film clocked in at 143 minutes, much nearer the two-and-a-half-hour mark. Alongside other DCEU films like Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Lost Kingdom is a much briefer affair.
That doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, though. Much of the controversy around Zack Snyder’s ill-fated 2017 release of Justice League centred around the studio allegedly mandating a strict two-hour runtime. Given the end of this DC continuity was confirmed in 2022, there’s a good chance Warner Bros. is now cutting its losses and making its later DC entries briefer.

That doesn’t seem to be the case for all of them. The Flash clocked in at the 150-minute mark, likely given the breadth of narrative development and multiversal antics squeezed in. Blue Beetle was a shorter film too, with a runtime of 127 minutes.
Regardless of the franchise’s history, you can get through Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom in just over two hours. That said, there is a brief mid-credits scene to check out, so don’t leave your seat as soon as the credits start popping up.
